Get ready for an evening of brain food! What does it mean to create AI for flavor discovery? How might we develop ways for novices to explore and play with flavor more like experts do? Spotify and Pandora enable us to navigate music without having the encyclopedic knowledge of music history and composition. Is something similar possible with flavor? Dr. Altringer, who runs the Desirability Lab at Harvard's John A. Paulson School of Engineering & Applied Sciences, will share her work on building software for flavor navigation and discovery, and demonstrate delicious examples with Chef Tracy Chang of Pagu."
